Let's not forget
Their final function
Authors will help you
With instructions!
When authors inform
They do it quick
Authors state facts
About story topics!
They write about space
And write about cats
Is this nonfiction writing?
You’re right about that!
When authors entertain
It's a lot of fun
They want you to enjoy
Their fiction creations!
Authors use imagination
To write about ghosts
How about the comics?
I like that the most!
When authors persuade
With all their might
They want you to believe
What they write!
Authors create advertisements
They want to sell
Authors write speeches
And do it well!
When authors write instructions
You need to know
How to follow them
So your learning grows!
