Author: Just Simply Write
Time to write a narrative
This is what I mean
Choose an experience
Begin to set the scene!
Narratives are events
That authors write about
Authors share their lives
Quietly or with a shout!
Start with the beginning
So think of a story lead
Who will you write about?
A main character is what you need!
Make sure when you are writing
Your character is in a place
Include the time of year
Keep up this writing pace!
Did the character have a problem?
If so, then please explain
If there was no problem
Don't worry, I won't complain!
How was the character feeling?
Silly, nervous, or shy
Add it to your narrative
Give it a try!
Now let's write the middle
That's next in your writing plan
Try to be descriptive
Record as much as you can!
What did the character say?
How did the character act?
What did the character do?
Please state all the facts!
Include adverbs to paint an image
Use adjectives to do the same
Add a simile to make a comparison
"What a narrative!" I exclaim!
Don't forget your sensory words
These words are the best
It's using your five senses
So put them to the test!
What did the character see?
What did the character smell?
What did the character hear?
Taste, feel...please tell!
It's time to end your narrative
You're really doing fine
Was the character's problem solved?
Then write it at this time!
Now you're done completely
But this is so immense
What did the character learn?
From his experience!
