Author: Just Simply Write
When you write
It’s up to you
Use imagination
Be creative too!
Brainstorm ideas
Before you write
Use an organizer
With delight!
Start the beginning
Choose a story lead
Introduce the characters
And the setting indeed!
Include the problem
You need one so
Characters have feelings
Don’t you know?
Next comes the middle
You shouldn’t wait
Add events and details
Elaborate!
Make it exciting
With adverbs and verbs
How about adjectives?
And sensory words!
Write a simile
Make it fun
Try humor and suspense
You’re almost done!
Also in the middle
Haven’t you heard
Keep your story in order
So use sequence words!
Last comes the end
A problem to solve
Think of a solution
Get a friend involved!
Read your story over
Make sure it’s clear
Is your story organized?
If not, don't fear!
Begin to revise
Without a doubt
Make changes to your story
Add or take out!
Then you should edit
This is the one
Check capitalization and grammar
Spelling and punctuation!
Publish your story
I begin to plead
Share with a friend
Use expression when you read!
Your story is complete
I said with a grin
Give it a title
Now hand it in!
