Simply Written Story Tools For Writing consists of 88 pages. It's a journal that has many writing tools to assist second, third and fourth grade students write stories at home and in school.

The journal includes story leads, characters, settings, problems, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, sensory words, similes, sequence words and much, much more. Next to each page is a lined page where students can record their own story words.

Also included... a Table Of Contents, a Self-Evaluation page, a page of Story Ideas, a Writing Rubric and Punctuation Chart. There are Six Story Organizers to record ideas. With each organizer, you have a Story Guide, three lined pages to write a story and a Story Checklist.

There is a Story Example to show how students can plan and write a story from beginning to end. In addition, students can follow The Writing Process organizer to write a story from the prewriting stage to the final copy.

On the inside cover is a list of Simply Written Story Tips as well as Some Commonly Misspelled Words! The journal has three stories that students can read and score using the Writing Rubric and Note Boxes to document thoughts or ideas!
